The Shell Shanty was established as a retail store in 1975. In 1985 we began our wholesale operation. Having retail experience, we understand the needs of your business. As wholesalers, we combine the knowledge of retail and wholesale to bring the best quality and products to the market, as well as fast service. We have been innovators of many of the products on the market today, as well as authors of the two hermit crab books. We have our own facilities off shore and work under a United States Fish and Wildlife license as direct importers. We have personally worked in the field and built our own hermit crab facilities, which has made us a leader in providing a top quality product to our valued customers.
